The registered schools even take part in a competition. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\"><em>Why is the STEM-Day so important?<\/em> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Graduates of the so-called STEM-subjects will be in even greater demand in the future. This is also shown by the slowly increasing numbers of students studying these subjects in Germany. There is no denying that these areas advance society, and these programs help find fun and engaging ways to teach students, how exciting and valuable they are. Whether it&#8217;s astronomy, computer games, woodworking, photography or Sudoku, chances are that many of children&#8217;s favorite activities have roots in STEM-subjects. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A lack of growing interest in these subjects would mean a disadvantage for business and science. In the coming decades, automation will play a key role in shaping the labor market. Trucks will all drive autonomously, cash registers will all be staff-free and many of today&#8217;s common jobs will no longer exist. On the one hand, however, it will take much longer for automation to eliminate most jobs from STEM-fields, so promoting them is crucial to driving a healthy workforce. On the other hand, the engineering sciences will be promoted in the future, in order to ensure all aspects of automation. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Times are changing and new technologies are emerging fast, so countries are placing an emphasis on science, technology, engineering and mathematics. These are the countries, where innovations actually take place. The basis for sufficiently qualified school graduates is created by similar initiatives and educational offers, in order to strengthen the school promotion. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">From our experience, most of our candidates had developed an interest in the STEM-field at an early age &#8211; through school projects or privately in the family circle. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"HwtZe\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"jCAhz\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">How was your experience at school?
